Bad investments. You better get some Gold miners and more oil producers, and dump all financials.

Why do you have Bank of America. I would think that their acquisition of Merrill would make them a shaky investment. On another note, I’m looking to begin trading myself, what online trading site do you recommend and what books would be good to read up on before making that jump?
Thanks

@Marvin
I bought Bank of America before the Merrill acquisition and have just held it through this whole financial crisis. I keep thinking that if Bank of America can survive without any additional government monies then the company has tremendous upside.
Good question. There are a number of good online trading sites. I like TD Ameritrade personally. Scottrade and ETRADE are also good sites. I like One Up On Wall Street By Peter Lynch and the Motley Fool Investment Guide. I have a list of my favorite books under Recommended Reading.

Your LT stocks do not include PFE. In the 2010 Playbook you list PFE as a value selection; however, it just keeps sinking and seems to be in an irreversible downtrend. What’s wrong with the stock? Is it a buy?

I don’t consider Pfizer a must buy but I do think the stock is a value play for the 4% dividend alone. Pfizer’s biggest problem is a lack of drugs in the pipeline. I like it as a long term play over years not just 2010.

Thanks for your reply. I’ll hold on to the stock and collect the 4%.

Superior LT list from this novice ie! I made the most money on BP last year and then sold it for BRK-b. I want to buy it back asap. They seem to do a lot of business with the Russians, which is certainly a plus today in the oil bus. My grandfather and father were in the oil bus, and both always recommended BP.
