Dave Ramsey will no longer be on the Fox Business Channel. The Dave Ramsey Show which aired at 8PM is being axed. Ramsey’s show is being replaced by Eric Bolling’s new show Money Rocks. Bolling is currently the host of Happy Hour on CNBC and was one of the original traders on CNBC’s Fast Money. It looks like Fox is trying to jumpstart its ratings by agreeing to part ways with the personal finance guru. Ramsey’s show failed to connect with viewers. He had been on Fox Business for the past 2 years.

[...] Dave Ramsey Out At Fox Business Channel | Buy Like Buffett [...]

He was a little boring
Maybe a little boring or monotonous, but his messages hits home with everyone struggling with their personal finances. He does not “pander” to the person that is successful that has loads of money invested in the stock market or other, but rather he is the guy out there to help the rest of us.
He gives out good solid advice.
@Moneymonk
I totally agree. I like Dave but the program was starting to get a bit monotonous.
Fox Business was going down the tube now they cancel Dave Ramsey,,
So that put the channel in the toilet, No more watching fox Business for me, I use to love Fox B Now that the New Yorkers think They know what the rest of the country needs too see, Fox B will go the way of the big banks and the so called stock brokers,, Hope u enjoy looking for new Jobs the people Of fox, because in a few more years you will kill the channel
Dave was the only thing I watched on Fox Business. Good luck, I won’t be watching anymore!!
Well, nothing else to watch on this channel since Dave Ramsey will no longer be on Fox Business.
I guess because he was not pc and he was a Christian; he had to go.
Fox Business and Fox News has become too pc.
I am a Dave Ramsey fan. I didn’t understand why they dumped him when their other shows aren’t that good either. I hope they didn’t get rid of him for his religious beliefs. He gave solid money advice from a Christian perspective. Maybe they wanted him to be more exciting.
Just how Christian is it, when Dave tells people to negotiate down a credit card they ran up? Maybe you have no problem with people running up charges they cannot afford and then look for an excuse not to pay what they legally owe. No one forced them to shop or spend. No one held a gun to their head and made them charge. It is called free will and consequences. Sure I feel sorry for people when they cannot pay their bills, but when I pay each month in full and owe no one for over 40 plus years – why should the rest of us suffer because of the greed of others? Remember the bread lines during the depression. I grew up hearing about them and took them to heart from my parents and grandparents. I saved and saved and saved. I worked and worked and worked. My life was not perfect, but I didn’t try to cheat my way out of bills that I ran up.
I stand right next to you, Janet and I hear your complaint. Yet, I can’t help but think that we are somewhere in Luke 15:11-32.
That story used to seem unjust to me until I got quite a bit older and began to feel the cumulative weight of my own minor sins – each of them hardly worth noticing at the time. In any case, if we give major screw-ups a break, at least some of them will be able to get out of the wagon and help us push. A reasonable break benefits both them and us. An unreasonable break only encourages more bad behavior. Dave seemed to understand that distinction.
Maybe Ramsey was on too much — 2 hrs a night, lots of reruns, but maybe they could have worked out a 3 times a week deal or something.
As far as I’m concerned Between fox business not airing Dave Ramsey and Oreily constantly making excuses for Obama I’ll be watching the history channel a lot more .
Dave was canned for criticizing Banks&Credt Card companies , the “can do no wrong heroes ” of ClusterFox News . I must admit the people calling his show were morons south of the Mason Dixon Line .
People watch Fox Business because they don’t like the other personalities on the other channels, so why bring in one of those personalities an put him in such a sweet time slot. Have Dave do 2-3 programs a week and he wouldn’t have to do as many re-runs to fill all the time slots.
LOL @ Reid.
Great point John. Dave could still be on the air a couple of nights at week. I think that financial programming is all becoming the same today.
Every body can rant an rave all they want about FBN dumping Dave Ramsey. Fox Business News does not care that you are not going to watch.
8PM was not the right timeslot for DR. Dave connects with people who want to get out of debt and need occasional shots of inspiration (Debt Free Fridays) and people who want to hear stories of others who are nearly broken by debt. I think a better time slot would have been 10pm or maybe the deadtime on weekends.
Dave is political and religious. Which fits right into the Fox cookie cutter. I’m pretty sure if he was in a different timeslot his show would have had better ratings. I used to tape/DVR his show and do weekend Dave marathons.
I was unable to get the Fox Business channel, so hopefully, a cable channel will pick up the Dave Ramsey Show. I think he is great, gives good common since advice.
I prefer Dave’s show better to the Money Rocks show that replaced him.
Being from Nashville I use to listen to Dave all the time. I kept hearing the same script day after day and thought it was good advice, but very repetitive and boring. He had no chance on prime time. Good call Fox.
The plasectomy segment and phone call interviews were the best parts.
He was the best thing on there! Damn!
He was the best thing on the fox business network- loved him- even though I’m not religious…I don’t go to church, his show was inspirational to someone like myself who had no money skills whatsoever. Bring him back somebody!
I agree. He was the best show on Fox Business. Money Rocks is not good at all.
I agree, he was the best thing on the fox business network. I watched him nightly and I loved his show. Dave got me out of debt. If anyone out there thinks Dave’s show is boring, it’s probably because you have credit card debt and car payments to make. Thanks to Dave, I don’t have that problem anymore.
Sounds like Dave was a real inspiration to you!
Dave Ramsey is great and we are also debt-free (including our house)! However, the TV show was nothing but a live radio show. It is not great television. Ditto for all the other call-in TV shows.
I like Dave. Maybe they could have revamped the format. Suze Orman has a call in show but it’s more exciting than Dave’s was.
If I owned Fox, I would have Glenn Beck and Dave Ramsey on back to back at prime time!
