This company has undergone a lot of changes over the past few years. The company has turned from a major growth stock into a dividend stock. The former CEO quit 3 months and the company just hired a new one. The company made a major acquisition a few years ago that has added cash to the firm’s bottom line.

According to Reuters, Duke Energy (DUK) is closing in on a deal to buy utility holding company Progress Energy Inc. (PGN) for more than $13 billion dollars. The deal would increase Duke’s size by 36% and increase the pricing power of the combined utility companies
