Where is Hank Paulson now?

I was thinking today about what Hank Paulson is up too now. So i did what anyone would do when looking for information, I googled him. Hank Paulson was the 74th Secretary of the Treasury until January 20th. To be perfectly honest, I never paid attention to who the U.S. Treasury Secretary was until this whole economic crisis hit last September. Paulson is responsible for the creation of the Troubled Assets Relief Program(TARP) which was created to buy 700 billion dollars in toxic assets from banks.

Where is Hank Paulson now?

After spending over 30 years on Wall Street, Paulson will be delving into the academic arena. Hank Paulson joined Johns Hopkins University Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) as a visiting scholar. Paulson will be a fellow at the Bernard Schwartz Forum on Constructive Capitalism. Basically, Paulson will be working with students and faculty to study issues relating to globalization. This is interesting because we have just gone through one of the greatest breakdowns in the capital markets worldwide.

Every statement that Paulson made or event that he attended received plenty of media attention until January 20th. I find it funny that you can go from being in the media spotlight to anonymity in such a short amount of time.

Paulson has been thrust back into the spotlight with the HBO movie Too Big To Fail.

Paulson recently wrote On the Brink: Inside the Race to Stop the Collapse of the Global Financial. In this book, Paulson done his best to describe his actions to address the systemic crisis. He shows his thinkingbehind the decisions that he made during that time and explains the reasons for the bailout of the financial system.
